YOUth ACT- A youth conference focusing on human rights and social justice
The Amsterdam-based student teams of Amnesty and UNICEF have united forces to host a youth conference “YOUth ACT”. During two exciting days of talks, workshops and small-group networking they will discuss a diverse range of issues in human rights & social justice through a practical lens. The aim is to bring together 80 -100 socially engaged young people who want to expand their network and learn how to take practical steps towards developing their own youth initiatives. You are able to join as well!
YOUth ACT aims to provide young people with the audacity and tools necessary to engage with the causes we care about and transform our ideas into action in the company DOERS in the field. The two-day conference will be a unique opportunity to explore challenges and controversies in human rights & social justice, understand how experienced social entrepreneurs and change makers overcome barriers and most importantly, learn how to build youth initiatives from youth activists. In order to take steps toward a more just and equitable world, people with common values, but different interests and diverse perspectives need to make a conscious effort to unite and push for change in their respective fields of interests. For this reason, YOUth ACT aims to take a multidisciplinary approach by addressing the interaction of human rights & social justice with topics such as artificial intelligence and big data, business and finance, education as a tool to integration, global health and environmental challenges.

YOUth ACT will take place in the Amsterdam University College (AUC) on 13 and 14 April 2019. Get your two-day ticket here
