Student Group Twente
Welcome to Amnesty International Student Group Twente!
Amnesty International UTwente is an activist student group focused on human rights, feminism,
gender equality, and preventing sexual violence. We break taboos through open conversations
on identity, power, sexuality, mental health, human rights. Starting with the Let’s Talk About YES
campaign in 2021, we pushed for consent-based laws and policy change at UT. Since then,
we’ve expanded into broader human rights and gender justice issues through exhibitions,
workshops, and our annual International Women’s Day March. We also stand in solidarity with
other activist groups, including those supporting Gaza and Palestine.
To become an active member, you’ll have to send us your application and then you will have an
interview with one of our board members, then you can join our weekly meetings, and contribute
a few hours a week to support our initiatives, whether in organizing events, researching diverse
topics, designing campaigns, or shaping our direction.
