Colombia: Insist, Persist, Resist and never Give Up?

This report analyses the impact of the intervention of the Military Criminal Justice system on the persistent impunity for human rights violations and crimes under international law committed by members of the National Police and the Armed Forces. By examining 398 jurisdictional conflicts between military and ordinary courts, the findings show that, contrary to national and international standards, the debate over whether military jurisdiction can address such crimes continues, hindering judicial processes and harming victims, many of whom were killed or injured through excessive use of force during protests.
