National Student Action: Pass the Pride

Write for Rights

When we all act together, we are more powerful. That is the driving force behind Write for Rights, Amnesty’s global campaign and the world’s biggest human rights event. Every year on 10 December, millions of individuals write letters & cards for people who are facing injustice. With success! People are freed, justice is served, and the world becomes a better place.

Melike & Özgür

On this occasion we are launching an online solidarity action for one of the cases of this year’s Write for Rights. Melike & Özgür, two students and LGBTI activists are facing up to three years in prison for staging a Pride sit-in on Campus of the METU University in Ankara, Turkey. Melike & Özgür have expressed the need for international solidarity with their case.
Please join the ‘Pass the Pride’ action!
